Editorial assessment

A convenient Mastercard debit card for existing Bybit EU users, but crypto conversion and non-euro spending can absorb most of the standard cashback.

We assess the product first and any commercial relationship second. Terms and regional access can change after the verification date.

How the Bybit Card actually spends

Bybit EU describes the product as a Mastercard debit card. It does not have a separate card wallet: purchases draw from the available fiat and selected crypto assets in the user's Funding Account.

That structure is simple for existing customers, but it adds exchange custody and conversion dependence. A purchase funded from euros is economically different from one that automatically sells USDC or another supported crypto asset.

The fee and reward equation

The current EU schedule lists a 0.9% crypto conversion fee on top of Bybit's One-Click Sell rate and a 0.5% foreign-exchange fee on top of Mastercard's rate when the purchase currency differs from the card currency. ATM withdrawals are charged 2% after the first €100 each month; an ATM operator can charge separately.

The standard non-VIP programme publishes 1% cashback on eligible purchases. When a purchase is funded from crypto, the conversion fee alone can consume almost all of that reward before spread or FX. The strongest use case is therefore not simply 'earn cashback', but spend from the cheapest available funding route.

What to check before applying

Confirm country eligibility, identity and address requirements, the applicable card tier and the assets available for card funding. Virtual and physical cards share spending limits, while the Lite card has a lower lifetime limit.

Check excluded merchant categories before valuing rewards. ATM withdrawals, refunded transactions, money transfers and several financial-service categories do not earn points under the current rules.
